Another sweet revenge for Mathieu. He shoudn't have lost in that fifth rubber of the Davis Cup final 2002; he was leading 2/0, both he and Youzhny were 20, and Mathieu had just started winning ATP tournaments, beating everybody in Moscow ( he started from qualifies),beating Safin in sf while the latter had just enjoyed ousting Federer in qf. Mathieu looked so good in 2002, just until that fifth rubber, pumping his trademark down-the-line forhand winners. I always like to come and see Mathieu when he's back to Kremlin Cup, which is now each year all the way downgrading to challenger level. He's still awesome though his tennis has changed. He's more like many many players in the tour, but.. sometimes you can see what was there in 2002.
