I just picked up a vintage Prince Extender Mach 1000 and I love it! It hits very well and is accurate for me.
However, the string on it is probably 10 + years old Prince synthetic gut.
What should I re-string it with?
I spoke to a customer service rep at Prince who suggested Prince Premiere with Softflex.
Any Mach 1000 users out there?
Thanks,
Mike

good question. lots of string to choose from. i'm looking for the durable type; because i can't afford two racquets and new strings every month.

I experienced that a lot of times Prince Strings are best for Prince Frames. So, if your last strings did hold for 10 years ( ) you maybe should just go for another Prince string. The Prince premier is indeed a good string, also I personally really like the Prince SynGut DF.

Check out stringforum.net. They have strings listed by different criteria, so you may be able to determine something you will like. Prince synthetic gut is still a really popular string choice, though the new stuff is a bit stiffer since they added DuraFlex.

Going with Prince
Hi,
I think that I'm going to go with Prince original synthetic gut. It gets better ratings than the synthetic gut with duraflex.
