I think Justine Henin-Hardenne for the ladies and Andre Agassi for the men
Firstly i would like to say im very happy to be apart of this forum.. hopefully i can enjoy a more pleasant experience thani have in the past..
Anyhow my choices for the wimbledon title
Women: Venus Williams ( I know shes struggling a bit however she seems to be hungry and she has been in the finals the last 3 years)
Men: Andre Aggasi ( It would very nice to see henman win one though)
MARIA SHARAPOVA. Nice and a very good player.
I don't think Justine H-H will win since she is injured as is Lindsay Davenport, so on the women's side, it proably will be a Williams sister or Clijsters.
Men: after last night, Andy Roddick has a shot or Agassi.
Roger Federer, potentially better than Sampras.
Roger Federer, potentially better than Sampras.
HAHAHA! No one would have ever of thought The "SCUD" would be up there aye!!!
Ladies: A fully fit, and motivated Serena looks unbeatable.
Men: There’s not as many grass court specialists around to dominate as there once was, so maybe it will be a more open tournament than in recent years.
My wife and I are going to be part of a group flying to London on June 21st and staying for 4 days, 2 of which will be to attend the Wimbledon Championships. We then will be cruising from South Hampton to New York on the new Queen Mary 2. We then intend to stay in New York for a few days and visit the center for the U.S. Open. If any of you are interested in joining us, email me or respond on this thread.
Roger Federer has- no real contenders
My Picks are Federer- who can beat him! and for the women- it would be nice for Clijsters to come out of Henin's shadow.

Some semifinal's thoughts.
Maria Sharapova at 17 was magnificent against Lindsay Davenport .
Amelie Mauresmo looked like could have just snatched it way from Serena which faulted a few times, but no, it wasn't to be , Serena power and brilliant mental agility won the match .
I don't think Mario Ancic posseses as yet the maturity to beat good old Roddick which in turn remains the strongest contender a step lower then Roger.
Roger Federer is just 'the men' ,I could go on for ever talking about his qualities ,without taking anything away from Grojean ( finalist of three Grand Slams out of four), Roger has without a doubt an extra gear , lets see if he will be able to use it.
Serena Williams should once more take the crown, I don't see Maria Sharapova as a real challenge, but anything can still happen .
Good luck to all , may the best win.
And it did happen, Maria Sharapova a million dollar richer won, 6-1 6-4.
Amazing , no doubt Serena will have another chance to prove herself at the U.S. Open .
So here we go again, it's 2005 and Wimbledon is on the horizon.
We just can't wait,in the mean time lets start a forecast.
This time we can have two
Federer
Andy Roddick
J. Henin-Hardenne
Lindsay Davenport
It's the ladies that I find difficult to forecast ( don't we all:-))
For Wimbledon 2006 - Roger Federer - Martina Hingis.
Olivier Rochus all the way!!!!!!
No one can stop him:D
LOLOL :D :rolleyes:Quote:

Women: No clear favorite. Nicole Vaidisova would be nice.
Actually Roddick might break out of his slump at Wimbledon this year. just a thought...
well, yeah, Fed seems to be a clear favourite, but he has a tough draw...Gasquet in the first, Henman possibly in the second...then in the 4th Bredych and then Ancic, so it's not gonna be easy...Quote:

I hope Agassi wins this!
Go Agassi!!!!!! :D
It may sound quite odd, but I think the old man has some kind of chance to win :) It was really nice to see him back on the court today!Quote:

So I heard that...
Im going to cry that day so much...
I kno his going to cry so ill be crying with him :( and many others....
He have been my all time favorite player and a inspiration.
He wont retire completely though!
I kno his son gonna be training with him!!! Another Agassi on the way folks dont worry, he will claim everything back!
The great Andre initiated this disgusting habit of blowing his nose on court. Well, what do you know, Mr. Cyprus has learned from the master. I expect the courts everywhere be slippery this summer.
Surely it would not inconvenience the boors to carry a handkerchief!
amilly beat justine by fluke!!!!!!:D
I do hope that your experiences with TW have since been pleasant.
Well, both snotters are gone, yes. Too bad the great Nadal just acquired the spitting habit last Sunday.
For Wimbledon 2008 - Federer - Sharapova !
