...bur he`s too intellegent to defeat Nadal
he and henin wd be invincible in the mixed dbls:D
yea.........
im surprised u agreed wid m,e:D
i love roger, hes a very graceful winner
o u like henin?:D
yes he is the best
in men only.....:D
He's pretty good.
My family is from Spain so what I am about to say hurts.
I do not think that Nadal is gonna win the French. Federer is already getting used to his game. I did not agree with the trainner tactic that Nadal used and that only shows that Federer is getting to close for comfort.
Just my.02
I agree. Been watching tennis for years. Federer is the best and classiest champion to date
he has to win the french first..... it will be very hard for him especially if nadal is lurking around. i'd like to see how he fares against rod laver in his "prime". with the standard sized wood racket.
"Federer is the best and classiest champion to date"
and
"i'd like to see how he fares against rod laver in his "prime". with the standard sized wood racket."
Laver is one the classiest, humble, and all around great guy.
Laver resume is packed with top-notch accomplishments while missing out on the chance to compete at numerous Grand Slams during his prime.
Laver then Federer in my book but not unhappy with Federer then Laver.
Phenoix, what do you mean federer is to intelligent to beat Rafa?? :o
according to ivan lendl roger needs to win the french to be considered "among the best" as long as rafa is lurking aorund and dominating the clay court series, it will be difficult.
I suppose I understand someone having the opinion Lendl does, but for me personally, and I do not play tennis, I think you must judge Federer by the whole Package not one tournament, no matter what tournament it is.
what about in The French Open 2008 ?
Sorry I think I have replied to the wrong member !!
Harwin, I do not know if I am the one you were meaning to respond to, but what did you mean by the question, "What About the 2008 French Open"?? I am being curious and nosy, I hope you do not mind!? ;)
roger can not be among the best since rafa continues to dominate him on clay. my opinion is if any player is to be the best they need to be able to dominate on all surfaces. now i know for a fact that roger will be going after rafa at wimbledon. it's just fast surfaces suit roger's game.
I cannot totally disagree with you. To be the best ever I guess all surfaces need to be good on. The part that bothers me is that Roger is darn good on clay, only our Rafa blows him apart and he has been totally dominating else where for, I think I am right, 3 years??
as long as rafa is around and dominating him on clay,it will be really hard for our man roger to be among the greatest. he will just fall into the class of pete sampras.
A good class to fall in eh ?
players that never won the french but everything else class!!
I agree, I did want Federer to get his 6th title this year (2008) but sadly I now have my doubts now that I see how good Nadal has become since winning the French Open for the 4th time !
I always think is best to refrain saying anyone is 'THE BEST' especially sprotspeople until they retire.Roger to me is the best shotmaker I've have seen',his current record is amazing,in my mind to be quoted as the greatest tennis player in tennis you would need to have grand slams on every surface..while we have Nadal around I can't see Roger winning R/Garos,only if Nadal is injured.Nadal to me is better than Borg,I thought I would never see someone as brilliant as Borg on clay.Lets wait until Roger retires.
Agreed, but the man needs to suck it up and get a coach. It's time for this if he is looking to break Sampra's GS record.
Please read my Post and tell me if you agree or disagree.
