    smash is different from serve

    Hi !

You certainly managing your hit the same way you do your serve. I mean hitting the ball for a smash around the same area you do when serving.
    But it's different.
Train your smash in front of a wall like a volleyball player :
From the baseline hit the ball so it touches the ground first, then bounce on the wall and comes back like a lob...And again hit your smash.
Get the control so you can manage a full serie of smash this way. Not full power, control first. It'll give you confidence then slowly add power.
In a match, don't rush, don't think you have to win the point right after your smash. Be patient, think your smash like another approach to the net until the pressure is to high for your oppponent, he'll do the mistake.

    SMASH that puppy danquest!!!!!

    Hey danquest,

Watch how you are finishing your overhead. Keep your head up and your wrist and hand should be finishing as if you are pointing at the top of the net (tape). And your contact point should be in front of your body.

I hope this helps... At the pro level and over head is considered a Christmas gift... at the lower levels could be a lump of coal....

If I was near you... I'd help you with them...
