    Who´s the best?

I think currently the best players are Safin and Federer. They have the most powerful and precious game from the baseline and are both great talents.
Safin is my best ever player, no matter what happens.
But when you look in the past, it´s definitely Sampras.
He won the most slams and was so dominant over years.

Not sure about that.Sampras never won on clay. Most people regard Bill Tilden and Suzzane Lenglen as the greatest. My personel view is that Jack Krammer was the best.

hmmmm, I guess the answer is easily obtained by looking at who is ranked currently at NO.1

Pete Sampras is a legend, but he is not currently ranked since he is retired, so more clarification needs to be addressed in order for your question to be properly anaylized and answered!

I just learned that Fedeerer never uses a trainer or coach, and he won't until he needs to.

I am a bit surpriesed on this remark. I read on the Eurosport web site, he was with Tony Roche in quatar, or some hot place to get used to the heat cuz of next weeks us open. I figured he is training with Roche...

I got my information about two week ago. Maybe he is training with Roche. I will try to find my info and let you know. It does seem strange that he's been #1 for 82 weeks and doesn't use a coach. If my source is right, that would make him pretty dam special.

Tibor, you are right. He is practicing with Roach for the Open. I just read two seconds ago.

    Good work!!

Federer is a very classy player with all the shots. Sampras was remarkable with great serve & volley motion & athletism. But if one goes by level of applied intelligence & tactics, Wilander was above everyone in his time. Having a traditional type baseline game, he was one of the best during a new power tennis era featuring Becker, Lendl, & fast court players like Cash.
