    New to site

    Hello:

I look forward to visiting and posting, I am moving from another forum, where social shut-ins seem less and less capable of having civil and good natured discussions.

I look forward to participating and learning from the posters here.

It's sad to hear that there were problems for you on another site. But, we are very glad to have you join us here! Welcome to TennisW.com! I hope you enjoy participating in our community. Be sure to visit as often as you can and maybe even help us to get this community going really well.

Thanks, I look forward to participating here.

It was not a problem for me, as I didn't participate in those threads, I just didn't enjoy reading all the posts from people being rude to others, or belittling other opinions.

That sort of stuff seems to happen when communities get larger and various cliques form. Hopefully we can avoid those types of problems here at TW... But, I do still want the site and community to grow larger - so maybe somewhat of a catch22.

I agree with you, it seems the only control for that happening, is the community at large [board] refusing to accept that type behavior. Which I hope will be the case.

Since the normal influence of having to face someone [which controls a lot of rudeness in day to day interaction] is absent.

I appreciate your thoughts, and look forward to participating here.

    Smile This is great

First of all, that quote CRACKS ME UP. That is hilarious!

This is my first time participating in ANY on-line forum, let alone tennis, so I hope what we DO talk about on here is actually tennis. All of us have precious little time for character debates on one another. I just want to LEARN and PLAY MORE! Anyone else?

Can't wait to get active on here. This looks like it could be great.
