Lightbulb Revisit old and tune it up.

After reading an article by Andy Roddick saying that he uses the same racquet for 8 yrs. Also that he feels that the real change in the game is luxlion strings that allow you to swing hard and bring the ball in. after reading this i reviewed racquets and came up with a Prince Diablo XP OS. I am having it strung with big banger timo 18 ga. Do we always benifit by buying the latest racquet, or would we be better with proven models?
    Any feelings on this?
Roddick also says the racquet Federer uses is the same racquet as pete sampras used (cosmetics aside)

I suppose the latest and greatest racquets can help, but it is also important to practice with the racquet you will use to win matches. Maybe that's why Roddick used the same one for so long, since it was the one he spent so much time training with.
