    Learning to play left-handed

I am a 45 year-old male 4.0 right-handed player and just found out my elbow tendon is gone and I need a Tommy John like tendon replacement. I'm pretty athletic in whatever sport I play, and my question is do you think it would be feasible to try to learn how to play left-handed? And the possibility of getting to the same 4.0 level left-handed? I really don't want to go thru the surgery and rehab for my right elbow, but may have to. Thanks.

Have you ever considered becoming ambidextrous? Here's a website I found by putting ( ambidextrous, tennis ) in google.
