    Federer is the best

58-3 in 2005. His only loosses are to Rafeal Nadal, Marat Safin and Richard Gasquet. Both Nadal and Safin beat in the semifinals in the French and Australian Opens, respectfully. I don't know how in the hell he lost to Gasquet. Ponit is: He has played and won the most, and lost the LEAST.

Here is there comparisons, so you make you own judgement:

Federer- 58-3 95% win pct. Won wimbledon Won 4/8 possible slams last two years

Safin- 24-10 1-4 against federer last two years. Won Australian Open

Nadal- 49-8 2-1 against fedrer last two year. Won French Open

Davydenko 33-16 0-5 against Fedrer last two years

Hewitt-- 25-5 0-8 FEDERER FRICKEN OWNS HIM

Roddick-- 37-8 0-5 ALSO owns him. His 151 mph serve doesn't do shit
    against the Fed.

    Good luck disputing that!!

i cant wait for federer vs. agassi...it should be a good match, i have to agree that federer is the best male out there, though i like hewitt better..but federer is just so darn good! the females i dont really know who the best out there is, i thought is was sharapova but she lost to clijsters so i dont know...

    Cool Clijsters

Well I think that Davenport deserves to be #1 because she is hard working player and she is consistent every single tournament. But honestly the best player this year is definetely Clijsters - she proved that after such dangerous injury she can play not only good tennis but world class tennis. And about Sharapova - she is nothing - winning Wimbldon once doesn't make her champion. She is just next russian with pretty face (of course with more energy from Kournikova).
Go Lindsay, Go Kim (But still the greatest is MARTINA HINGIS #1)
