    Reggae Music

Hey does anyone on this board listen to reggae music? Well, it's this big debate going around pertaining to whether Peter Tosh or Bob Marley is the greatest reggae performer and singer of all time. In my opinion, I think both are the greatest and they each bring something different to the historical legacy of reggae. Who do you think is the greatest? By the way Peter Tosh has released a three disc box set with many of his greatest hits and a couple of live performances. Check it out and hit me with your responses. One Luv!!!!!!!

    The Greatest?

Please, how can you even ask the question? Bob or Peter?? One cannot be separated from the other and people should never try. Marley was international, bridged gaps between music and people, brought true Reggae music and Jah light to the mainstream, whether intentionality or otherwise. All people love Marley, ask anyone, people who have never been exposed to Reggae music and they will know Marley. He brought people together and his death was a great lost to this world.

Peter, he was more a militant man, equal rights and justice promoter, activist and his music reflected this. He would make a stand, no matter what, unbending and never wavering from his course. Him right against Babylon system. Therefore these two men where both the same, yet very different. Both an equal lost to the world and the world of Reggae, both stood the their cause, both should be admired as equal, musically and as people. If people of the world had a little of both in them, the world would be a greater place.
