Thread: power problems

    power problems

I recently bought a new racquet (Wilson) and having played with it for about a month i've decided that it is too powerful and i'd like to reduce its power without getting another racquet.
I know I should just put more top spin on the ball but i'm not that good a player.
Anyone know how I could reduce the power?

Restring with a thicker string (15L) and much tighter (use the highest recommended tension). Use a Polyester string like, Dunlop Explosive, Ashaway MonoGut, etc. Even better use a kevlar hybrid like Ashaway Crossfire or Prince ProBlend.
