Do USTA Rules or Code Cover this ?

When there is netting separating adjoining courts, is such netting considered a permanent fixture? If it is, I believe that one cannot claim a hindrance if the netting interferes with returning a ball. Is this specifically addressed in the rules or code? I can't find any reference for this.

The ITF Rules of Tennis 2004 states that:
The permanent fixtures of the court include the backstops and sidestops, the spectators, the stands and seats for spectators, all other fixtures around and above the court, the chair umpire, line umpires, net umpire and ball persons when in their recognised positions.
So, the netting separating adjoining courts is a permanent fixture. And yes, one can not claim a hindrance if the netting interferes with returning a ball.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Huseyn. I believe your reference answers my question nicely.
