been away from tennis for sometime, good string combo? Kevlar mains/ luxilon cross?

Used to play juniors but stopped for a long time and am starting to play again. I used to play with the original pro staff 85 at 65lbs. 16g Kevlar Mains, 16g Synthetic Crosses Gamma TNT. Now when I played luxilon wasn't around but now everybody raves about this stuff.

I like tight kevlar for the control but I hear luxilon should be strung a few lbs lower. Or is this setup just too stiff as luxilon and kevlar aren't a good mix?

    Thanks

you wouldn't want to put luxilon on the crosses over kevlar... Big Banger, and other poly's, are the replacement of kevlar, not quite as durable but with better feel and power. I am a string breaker and use big banger rough mains and wilson k gut crosses, a perfect combination. I teach 8-10 hours a day and only break strings every 2 weeks. my suggestion is to experiment, a lot of string company sell hybrid packs or half sets, try the big banger combo i listed above and also babolat pro hurricane tour with excel premium crosses. string it as tight as you like
