    johansson thrashed that sucker nalbandian

well if you actually watched the match and knew anything about tennis at all, you would see that murray actually wiped nalbandian off the court for 2 sets. he had him for breakfast.
but of course nalbandian has more class, hes a former wimbledon finalist and top 10 player, while his opponent is an 18 year old guy who , to the best of my knowledge had not even played in a first class singles tournament before Queens. and he had certainly never played a 5 set match, at least not in that kind of atmosphere and intensity as one on wimbledon centre court against a former finalist. he just didnt have the experience to keep to momentum going in the 3rd set, and nalbandian had nothing to lose so went for all his shots and they came off. 4th set was a pretty good dog fight with experience coming out over youth, and you could see in the final set, murray was just completely fucked.
it will come with experience. he needs more experience playing tough 5 set matches like that against that type of player. you can work on fitness, you cant do much on talent and he appears to have a bit of talent. heck, as an 18 year old he thrashed the 14th seed, and took the 18th seed to 5 sets while making him look fairly average for a couple of sets in the process. hes got a bright future. i look forward to seeing him play at the french open in the future cos hes supposed to be a clay specialist as hes trained a lot on academies in spain on clay. unusual for a brit to be most comfortable on clay.

but nalbandian lost to some idiotic joachim johansson

fair enough. still doesnt mean hes useless just cos u dislike him. for the life of me i absolutely cant stand that arrogant cunt lleyton hewitt. really hate him with a passion. doesnt stop me recognising hes a damn good player.
i was only pointing out that murray may not have been as awful as the first poster was suggesting.

and nalbandian actually lost to former australian open champion thomas johannson. same last name as joachim but very different player.

not really. only got autographs and had time to say good luck for the aussie open, and for coria also good luck for the rest of the heinken open.

but i went with free tickets from my tennis club and we had a bit of a hit with some of the players before the matches started. there were 3 pretty unknown guys - an NZer, a south african and an american. Nadal also joined in a bit later on, thats how i got his autograph, unfortunately id already had my go on the court before he came, but him and one of the others had a bit of a doubles game against 2 young guys, and one of the kids smashed a forehand past nadal. nadal was just trying funny little tricks and drop shots, but then this kid smoked one past him and then he started actually trying lol.
