I am a high school coach in Northern Maine. We started our practices this week, indoors because we have about 6 ft of snow on our courts. We normally have about 2-3 ft of snow and we spend the first couple weeks of practice shoveling the courts. But with double the amount of snow, no one is too excited about shoveling. I have heard suggestions about putting mason sand or cold ashes on the snow to speed up the melting process. Has anyone tried these or any other suggestions?
