    Stop whining and start

First of all Happy New Year to all of you!!

I read TennisW forums daily. What is obvious is that a big percentage of young people and their parents who are involved in tennis don't have knowledge how to attract sponsorship or any other help for that matter for themselves or their children.
For the last twenty years I'm involved in sports management and I'm more then happy to involve myself with TennisW members with ideas and advice about management and sponsorship.
I'M NOT A TENNIS COACH AND I NEVER WAS SO PLEASE IF YOU WOULD LIKE A DISCUSSION OR ADVICE FROM ME, PLEASE KEEP IT RELATED TO MANAGEMENT OR SPONSORSHIP.
Whatever is your ranking when you are 12, 14 or 16 should not influence your chances to attract a good management contract. Novak Djokovic was 650 in the world when he was overwhelmingly helped by his management team which is with him still today. So to be successfull in the world of sports management you sometimes must instinctively predict and sign a player who is not rated high at that moment. So don't put yourself down if presently your not achieving what you think you should achieve. The most important thing is that you believe in yourself and that you are surrounded by a good team. To have a good team is the main reason why people go to well known tennis academies. To be honest if somebody called me from a very well known tennis academy and suggested a young player for a management contract I'm more excited then if somebody calls me to suggest someone that they saw on U Tube. I know that it is wrong but it's human nature.

To wish you all a Happy 2009 I and the Team here at David Lloyd Sports Management wih to offer to TennisW members the following:

    1) 1 Free place in our Summer Camps for 2 weeks in July or August in 2009(airline tickets not included) This is open for Tennis players between the age of 9 to 16 years old.

    2) 1 Free place in one of our academies for period of 3 months (that can be extended if the student satisfies all the neccessary requirements given to them by the Academy. This is open to tennis players between the age 9 to 16years old.

    3) A full management contract. The contract will include all assistance from our side towards coaching, travelling, sponsor finding and financial help. This is open to tennis players 16 years old above.
*THE CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIVING ENTRIES IS THE 30TH OF MAY 2009*
The only thing that you need to do is to send us your profile and a short video of your tennis playing. PLEASE DO NOT EDIT THE VIDEO OR RECORD MUSIC OVER IT, WE HAVE GOT MTV IN BRITAIN TOO!!

Please do not forget to put your TennisW nickname along with your real name you can post it or email it at the following addresses:

Maybe I was not clear but if you go to www.davidlloydsport.com and go to managing rising players page you will see that:
By our judgement we will invite short listed players on a one week "High Performance" Tests and the best will win the contract.
    Thank you for your comment
