    New Years Eve ???

I've been meaning to ask everyone what they did for New Year's Eve? Also did any of you make commitments you'll probably not keep or commitments you will absolutely (hopefully) keep?

My Wife, Friends and I drove to a Casino in Ct. to party with Earth Wind & Fire.
We had four seats 2nd Row Center from Stage .. basically we were too close as my friend pointed out because of the height of the Stage, we were looking up at them. But on the other hand, we were close enough were our Wives seem to think those guys were singing to them personally ... Personally I love Earth Wind & Fire but don't kid yourself, they're a Romance Band if there ever was one.
Afterwards, we all decided to try our hand at Gambling so the four of us went to a Roulette Table being the big spenders we are, we ask for $100 in chips to use between the four of us. Now we learned a little about Casinos here. Apparently two or more people can't play the same color chips. So we had to designate one person to place the chips and the rest of us had to stand behind and yell out numbers. Hey we had fun, we cashed out at a whopping $113.00 after one hour of playing.

I was disappointed but the people around us claim we were major winners giving we left with money. I got the point. No resolutions for me this year other than, my hopes that we as people help save some endangered Animals like the Polar Bear ..

I've written to the WWF to provide more detail on how sending money to them is going to prevent their demise. I realize that Poaching is still an issue up in that region of the Planet but also the Climate changes are causing problems for our Polar Bears and money is not going to help with that, so before I begin shelling out cash, I want to know what the Game Plan is ...

Friends, a word of advice, you've probably noticed that I'm somewhat of an Activist. This is what I've done all my life which has included going to Washington three different times for three different reasons along with thousands of others. It's great to feel you're doing something instead of just sitting back waiting for something to be done but I beg you NOT to simply place your hard earned money in an envelope and send it off thinking this is going to fix the problem. Chances are your money will not even reach the problem because the problem is & has been in place for hundreds of years and a few dollars isn't really the answer in many cases.

If you truly want to contribute to the World's Issues or like my Old Friend use to say, "You're either part of the solution or you're part of the problem" Find out about the Organization you're interested in and see what percentage of donations they earmark towards Administrative Cost and how much goes to the issue at hand. If you are sending money for a small little girl who lives in South America name Eliana who doesn't own a pair of shoes and has never seen the inside of a school, eats rice and bananas all day, has the face of an Angel and her eyes can tear your heart out of your chest, try finding out where this little child actually is, ask if there's a recent picture of her that you'd like to see. Many times, these little children that you see in infomercials are grown and have children of their own now.

I'm not saying these Agencies are bad, I'm just saying make certain your money is feeding hunger children instead of paying the lease on an executive's Mercedes'

    You get the point ...

I was alone again on New Years Eve, but I did make one New Years Resolution, to stop stalking Paula Creamer.
