    Where to buy tennis racquet?

Hi, I want to buy a tennis racquet for my son-in-law who plays in a competitive league. I won't actually be picking it out, but would like to buy a gift certificate so he can pick it out himself. Where is the best place to buy a racket? I want to get him a good racquet and am willing to spend up to $300. Will that buy a good racquet? Is a pro-shop better than a chain like Dick's Sporting goods? He lives in Columbia, South Carolina, so if anyone knows of a good shop there, please let me know. He is probably of intermediate skill level as he ranked himself a 3.5 according to USTA rankings. Thanks.

300 dollars is enough to buy 2 good ones.

if you can get online gift certificates i would say http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/

never looked into them but if you can there yes.

You can also get gift certificates from www.NothingButTennis.com. They mail a nice laminated set of certificates to your recipient. That site also has some good racket tables that show specs so you can see which rackets suit you the best.

Sporting goods stores only have limited selections in terms of performance rackets, and they have no staff to help you with technical emails. I would suggest NothingButTennis, T-W, or Holabird, they have actual tennis players on staff

    Look at esportsbuy.com

    Hi,

You should look at www.esportsbuy.com I recently bought a Head Youtek racquet from them, and I received it within 3 days and in an awesome packing.. Also I think they offer the cheapest prices from what I could search on the net.. I can say they are really good at what they do
