Huge tennis fans are just what we need here at tennisw.com! Welcome to the site and thanks for joining. Personally I'm more of a casual player and have never been to a tournament before... after running this site for a while I've been thinking about going to a tournament at some point, to at least see what they are like to watch in person.

Hi Michael, I have recently joined Tennis World. I live in Surrey, UK. I have been a tennis enthusiast since I was a boy of 12 years old ! I am now 83 ! The Fred Perry and The two Helen days you may have read about them I am sure. During WW2 when serving in the Desert of Egypt, when possible, I used to play tennis in the heat of the day when my mates (and me) should really have been resting "Mad dogs and Englishmen" eh
