    US Open Seeds

Now that Andy Murray is ranked World number 2, should we expect Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer to meet in a semi-final match rather than the final? Would they do that? I know there's a chance he could meet Novak Djokovic instead, but what is the possibility otherwise?

I'm crushed Murray is number two. I don't think he deserves it. Never liked him..
Nadal is much better in my opinion.
~Anyway, I do believe that now that Rafa is number three he could meet with Roger at a earlier point then the finals. However, I think there is a little possibility of it happening.
After all those years they met in the finals.. I don't think they'd change the match to the semi's all of a sudden. It's just too good a match for that..

I could see Andy taking the number one rank at some point.

    If he becomes number one..
I'll be very, very, very disappointed.
I mean Murray over Rog and Rafa.. Even the thought makes me angry.
They are simply too good to be beaten by Murray.
I don't believe Murray will be number one.. What I realize is that he can win the small tournaments but when it comes to the slams [which really are the ones that matter most].. he seems to struggle and he'll be lucky to get into the semi's in US I reckon.
The ideal semi's for me would be Roger Federer [vs] Rafa and Jo Wilfred Tsonga [vs] Fernando Verdasco. I hope Rafa or Rog ends up in a final with Verdasco.. it ought to be a blast.

i kind of agree with you. Murray's game can be boring - he's as agressive as a dove. he is a great defensive player that's for sure. ideally, i would like to see Gilles Simone vs Gael Monfils in the final; fun to watch!

    Gilles Simone and Gael Monfils?
I haven't seen them play however they both appear to be good players.
Gael Monfils seems so calm and easy-going in his matches..

Yes, I do remember watching a few minutes of that match.
He is quite a good player generally as far as I've watched.
