    My first tournament

Round One starts September 24, 2009. This is my first ever tournament. As many of you know, I've only been playing tennis for about seven months. However, since I have been unemployed for two-thirds of that period, I've been able to really dedicate myself to tennis. I think I'm a 3.5 player. Does anyone have any advice going into a first tournament?

Relax and enjoy it. Playing lots of them is really the only way to get used to the pressure of playing them as well. Go out there with no expectations and have a good time and you should do just fine.

Play with confidence. It's the key to anything competitive.

I'm probably not the first to say this, but just try your best - don't preassure yourself, try to have fun and enjoy it.
    Good luck,

do tell me the results of the match once played, please
Why am I fighting to live, if I'm just living to fight
Why am I trying to see, when there aint nothing in sight
Why am I trying to give, when no one gives me a try
Why am I dying to live, if I'm just living to die?

Playing with confidence is a lot easier in theory than in practice Hopefully you learned something for next time.

I did. my friend was watching me play and suggested i hit to his backhand because he didnt really have a topspin shot on that wing. i won't take anything from the guy though cause he did have a really nice return of serve. if i didn't place my second serve well, he was able to knock the ball to the open court with pace quite easily.
