    String tension for junior rackets

    Hi folks
Wonder if anyone can give me some advice?
I string my own racket and have my own preferences for string and tension etc. But I have been asked to string the racket of a friend's son and haven't strung kids rackets before. Could anyone suggest the best type of string and more importantly the best tension for that? The racket is only 23 inches and has a head size of about 98 square inches. Strings I have are a poly, a multi fibre and a synthetic gut.
It would be great if I can get this right as the lad's mom is absolutely lovely (and single) and I might even impress her.
    All suggestions gratefully accepted.

I used a multifilament for my first racquet, and it was durable and pretty good. I don't know if thats what your talking about when you say multifibre, but multifilament is good. Poly is hard on the arms, and synthetic gut, I've never tried, so I like multifilament.
    Good luck on both endeavors

    Thanks 03White.
Yes, sorry I did mean a multifilament. I thought of either going with that one or the synthetic gut but I will probably go with the multi. But I can't seem to find anywhere online that lists the string tension of junior rackets like they do with adult ones.

The racquet doesn't have a recommendation? If not, I'm going to suggest you string it about 53 lbs/ 24 kp. The length of the racquet doesn't directly relate to tension. What I'm saying is that you should string it as you would a typical 98 sq in frame, but perhaps on the loose end to help the kid out with power.

Thanks Lawn Tennis, I'll go with 53lbs.
