Yeah! A lot of this is going on around many forum boards. Spam, spam, and more spam. Some of the things that are being advertised are so ridiculuous. It's a waste of time and energy thinking that you're going to read something decent and then it's nothing but junk. Somehow the people who run many of these boards should find a way of blocking those people out.

If it has nothing to do with tennis, then it shouldn't be posted.

Let them find their own site and promote on their own site all that they want to promote. It's too much trash.

On a different note, the kids who keep saying, "I need sponsorship", "I need sponsorship", I need a million dollars. Nobody has given it to me yet.

It's important to know how to generate interest from others, and that isn't it.

I just went through all forums on the site and removed many spam threads & posts. I believe that I got all of them. Please let me know if you see any others.

This all took me a bit by surprise. I haven't had much time to be on the site lately.... stopped by tonight and was a bit shocked to see all the spam.

I made a change to the forum registration configuration to make signing up for the forum slightly more difficult. Hopefully that will help to keep many of these 1 post spammers away.

My apologies for not getting this all taken care of before now.

Ahh good work John . The idea of moderators is an excellent idea to ban those spammers

Thanks. You should have seen it back in July/August this past summer. There was a 2 to 3 week period where I wasn't able to spend much time here at TW and when I returned I found that the forum had been invaded by many dozens of spammers. I spent probably a full day banning maybe 100 or so spammers and deleting all their messages from the forum. I hope to never see that kind of mess on the site again. Having moderators on the site I think will definitely help out a lot if/when any other spammers come here and try to have their way with TW.
