I'm looking for a tennis sponsorship

My name is Linda and I live in Kathmandu, Nepal. I am fourteen years and ten mmonths and love playing tennis. I would really like the opportunity to get a chance to go to a tennis school in the United States. Here, in Nepal, there is not much tennis for girls, so I play with junior boys.
I am a good student and I am looking for a tennis sponsorship for the summer.
If you have any ideas for places where I could apply for sponsorships, I would really appreciate them.
    Thankyou,
    Linda.

    where 2 get sponsorship

thie is for the USA, dunno about other places:

You can get a sponsorship if you are top 300 in the country from Prince, or top 50 in the country by Wilson. Babolat,Head, and some of the other companies are a little easier to get sponsored by. There are also different levels of sponsorship...to be full by Prince right now you need to be wayyy up there cuz they are low on budget i guess...thats what they told me...so unless you are nop 20 or so in the nation you will have no luck on a full sponsorship by prince. Wilson stays pretty strict with their top 50 rule, and that inclueds alot, but it is not quite a full sponsorship.

firstly, you enter public tournaments and do well in them. its really just a matter of luck and getting noticed by the right person at the right time. there are supposed 'spotters' from various tennis brands (head, wilson, etc) who go to these tournaments and look for people who look like they're good enough for sponsorship.
    hope that helped!

    Hi girls and boys.

I'm a 16 years old boy from Yugoslavia. I'm the fifth in my country. I have more than 50 cups. I'm also a good student. I want to study and to play tennis in the USA. Here in my country I can not improve my play. First of all, i have no trainer. unfortunately he died. last year. I live in a small city. I play with amateurs. But look, I'm the fifth on the rank list.

    Hi @ all,

I'm not that good in tennis, in fact, I think I suck, but sitll, did you ever just call companies and ask if they sponsor you!? Invite them to tournaments that they can watch you play - stuff like that?!? That's something I would do, if I was good ...

    Just ask!

Unhappy Same position as many of you other teens

Hi im 17 from scotland, same as matthewfirth. I also want to gain some sort of funding so i can pursue training in the usa. There is an academy i fancy going to, but at $30 000 (£17 000) per semester, which is classed as August-June, is slightly out a reach. Not impossible, but difficult shall we say. Just like tennis itself, if you dont got a certain amoun of natural ability, like myself then it will be impossible.

Any ideas on funding would be appreciated more than words could comphrehend.

    Steve.

p.s my user name was meant to be fed_express or something similar, but i pressed enter by mistake, so im stuck with fed_!!!!! haha oh well

    Looking for a sponsor

    Hello everyone, how are you?
My name is Jelena, I'm 14 and I live in Canada. I'm originally from Jugoslavija (Yugoslavia). I moved to Canada when I was little and soon after (3 - 4 years) I began playing tennis. I'm and excellent student at school and I speak a few languages (Serbian, Croatian, English) and I am now learning French. I have a lot of experience in tennis; I have played all over the world (Australia, Serbia, All over Canada). I'm currently playing U14 years and I am ranked 2nd. I have been to Nationals 2 times and I'm now going again in August of 2005. As we all know tennis is an expensive sport... that is why we all need as much help as we can get. Trust me when I say... "All this will pay off in the long run". You might not be able to afford all this now but imagine how much money you will have when you win a GRAND SLAM! Then you will even be able to help others out. Here is a quote in Serbian... "Samo najuporniji dolaze do cilja"... this quote is hard to translate but in English it would sound a bit like this... "Only the ones-who-really-want-it will reach their goal". In English it is so much longer (the quote).
Okay back to the topic of sponsorship! I'm currently searching for one and I really need one. If you know anyone who can help me can you please e-mail me at >>>

    jelenat1@hotmail.com

Remember... "Samo najuporniji dolaze do cilja"... don’t forget!
    Yours Truly,
    Jelena
